Therapy is not a one size fits all treatment nor do you need to be in mid trauma to search or receive it. To me, Therapy is an emotional gym… one of which should be consistently practiced if able to. Take your time when finding the perfect Therapist for yourself, partner, family etc etc. Truth is you might not find the ideal fit on the first try, or second, third so on and so fourth. KEEP GOING, one will stick! And be as transparent as possible when in pursuit. We can’t repair what we don’t acknowledge! Going to Therapy doesn’t mean you have an immediate issue, you could simply just want redirection or a deeper sense of self.

Character Traits, Do your personalities align? Are you in a place of receiving tools from this person in a positive way??
Cost and Insurance Coverage
What does your future Therapist specialize in and does it match the growth you’re trying to receive??
Online or in person
Certification and Education
Remember, this is one of the most intimate relationships you will have so take your time and choose wisely!
